Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Screw removal is required cases of screw displacement in your case probably screw has migrated into spinal canal causing compression of no nerve and so screw was removed. There can be another screw migrating into the canal and causing compression at present .You need to undergo urgent MRI to look for screw positions. further consult with good spine surgeon .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
