How Can Squamous Cell Carcinoma On The Neck Be Treated?
Hi, my mother is 80 and she just got a report back from her family doctor that she has a squamous cell carcinoma in-situ. It is located on her neck. The family doctor said he needs to remove more tissue off the area, and I said should she see a dermatologist. He asked what for? He could do it in his office. With her age and she having a pace maker I would feel more comfortable with a specialist. He didn t like my answer. Should I be worried? He was to have a surgeon schedule an appointment to have it removed but I have heard nothing.
