How Can Stiffness And Pain In The Ankles Be Treated?
I am a 48 year old femaie. Have had ankle stiffness and pain in the morning beginning approximately 2-3 years ago. Recently both hips were very stiff and painful and now they feel better but knee joints and painful. Pain increases with inactivity. While in bed I will feel pain when they are bent and after i fight through pain of straightening them it is temporarily better. I also have weakness when getting up from a squatting position. I have also has some mild pain in in both wrists. Clavical bones are also painful and I am unable to pull shirt over my head with both arms simultaneously. Pain is slightly more on R side for all areas mentioned above.

All your symptoms make me think of rheumatoid arthritis. I suggest you to measure Rheumatoid Factor and fibrinogen level, pcr also. To ease symptoms take paracetamol or ibuprofen 2-3 times daily, lose weight if you are overweight, physical activity ameliorate situation.If pain doesn't go away, have a consult with your rheumatologist to prescribe specific treatment.
