My daughter had a stye in her eye about 2 years ago. It began to develope shortly after a niece came over with the same symptoms. Still Having eye issues. My daughter was brought to an eye doctor(which I thought was a specialist; who she was referred to) by my mother with concerns. My mother ended up paying cash and I believe it appeared as if she was the sole caregiver. After a short; consult the M.D advised my mother that the case appeared as if she(my 9 yr old daughter) had chlamydia in her eye. From previous experience and no lab results/culture to prove his theory. From past experience of his this was the only infection non-responsive to antbiotics. From His suggestions my mother left the office with an uneasy feeling that my daughter has been taken advantage of. I approached the opthalmalogist the next day; having taken off of work from an Urgent Care Clinic. As any concerned mother would with such serious allegations. The Doctor advise me that this was simply a form of chlamydia not necessarily sexually transmitted
