How Can Surgical Stitches Under The Frenulum Be Treated?
I have 2 stiches stuck under my skin at my frenulum. the other stiches I have taken out . others dissolved . its been 3 to 4 weeks since my operation . when I try to remove the remaining stitches it causes great pain and yellow lymph is secreted . what must I do?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If the stitches are made with absorbable material, no need to remove them and it will dissolve spontaneously. Confirm whether it is done with absorbable material or not. If the suturing done with non absorbable material it has to be removed and can be done from a nursing home using special instruments like forceps tomfsrch hold the thread and a trained nurse can easily remove it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
