How Can Swelling And Itching On The Tragus Be Treated?
I have a probable bug bite on tragus of ear. Swelling, itching, pain, has a white head forming. Should I take Benadryl and use topical antibiotic or oral. I have doxycycline and augmentin on hand. Tried to go to urgent care, but they are closed due to approaching .
If it is a bug bite then itching, swelling and pain is due to inflammation and localised allergic reaction..
So, yes taking Benadryl will help in reducing itching and irritation and along with it you can apply a combination of a steroid and antiseptic ointment..
Also do cool compresses over it..
You should avoid scratching as it can cause spread of infection..
Hope this helps..
Regard.
