Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I AM IN ANTIBODY TREATMENT FOR NON-HODGKINS LYMPHOMA. WHEN I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR BLOOD PRE-TESTING, MY HAND WAS LEFT SWOLLEN & BLACK & BLUE. AFTER 4 ATTEMPTS I TOLD THE TECHNICIAN TO GET A PERSON WITH BETTER EXPERTISE. I HAVE PROBLEMS REPEATEDLY GETTING BLOOD FROM MY VEINS. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* As per my clinical experience , the hands swelling seems to be from lymphatic or other reason.
* Taking care of swelling of hands will make the visibility of veins better for further uses.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
