Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC...

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain tonsil inflammation does not develop from braces rather it can be due to bacterial or viral throat infection..
As you already have recurring episodes of tonsillitis therefore you need to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated...

You can be advised:
-Antibiotics like Augmentin OR Azithromycin to resolve the infection..
-Anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be taken to relive pain. -----Doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can be very much relieving.
-You can also suck throat lozenges to soothe the throat..
-Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
-Gargle with antiseptic solution like few drops of betadine in water..
-Chew Vitamin C pellets to boost up the immunity..
-Avoid spicy and chilled foods..

In case if swelling keeps recurring or does not relieve with medications then Tonsillectomy that is surgical removal of tonsils is advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
