How Can Thigh Bone Softness Be Treated?
my son is 9 and had hip surgery, he was in a body cast for 5 weeks because when they were doing the surgery they found his bones to be soft, my question is if his thigh bone is soft could he have other soft bones and what do I do? what questions do I need to ask is ortho dr?

Hi,
Please ask his surgeon what could cause hie soft bones and if he needs any further evaluation for this. He may need more calcium or vitamin D, or both, but in order to know he will need more evaluation.
