How Can Toothache And Pain In The Ears Be Treated?
yes, thank you. I am suffering from toothache which is very sore and now affecting my ear canal, I cannot get to a dentist today so I have been taking 2 x 650 acetaminophen when I remembered I have Hydrocod/acetam 7.5-3.25mg tab mal left from a tooth extraction in late Aug this year. Can I take one of those tabs for pain? It has been two hours since I have taken the Tylenol and Im not getting any relief. Thank you....I'm also applying cold compress to outside jawline.
It looks like you have a deep tooth decay and the infection has reached to the nerves present in the centre of the tooth causing nerve irritation and inflammation causing severe pain..
Pain in ear can be radiating pain from the infected tooth only..
Acetaminophen can help with mild to moderate pain but if pain is so severe, yes, you can take a combination of Hydrocodone and acetaminophen.
You can also take other strong painkillers that are suitable for severe pain like Ketorolac and Tramadol.
You can also apply clove oil or bite over a clove or a piece of garlic over the tooth..
Continue doing cool compresses over the cheek and do warm saline gargles..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
