Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I M HAVING WISDOM TOOTH PAIN FROM 4 DAYS....WHAT TO DO FOR PAIN RELIEF - SOMEONE TOLD MTO TAKE AMOXICLAVE-DICLOMOL -OMEX -BECOSULE- AND SUMO TABLET FOR 3 TO 4 DAYS..M NOT SURE IS THESE TABLET ARE GOOD FOR HEALTH . IS THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS. PLEASE HELP
As per your complain it seems that pain in wisdom tooth is commonly due to inflammation of the gum flap over the wisdom tooth known as PERICORONITIS which occurs due infection occing due to accumulation of food between gum flap and wisdom tooth..
Second cause can be due to decay in wisdom tooth causing nerve exposure and nerve irritation..
Although medicationstold to you can be helpful but you should not take any medication especially antibiotics without knowing exactly if they are needed or not..
You can therefore consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can be done and treatment can be then taken accordingly..
As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen to relieve pain.. Do cool compresses over the cheek.. Do warm saline gargles..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
