How Can We Taper Of The Use Of Folitrax ?

hi to every1, my mother is consuming folitrax 10 mg once a week for her R.A problem. but now her general condition has started deteriorating.

Hello.welcome.Normally FOLIC acid is given to avoid side effects of methotrexate.But if inspite of this side effects are taking place you needn't taper the dose.you simply stop the medicine.In consultation with your doctor you can take another disease modifying drug known as sulfasalazine or lefunomide.Good luck.
