How Do I Ween Off Taking Lorazepam And Imipramine?

I have been taking Lorazapen and Imipramine 10mg and I would like to get off from taking both. I have been taking them both for 4 weeks. My only trouble is sleeping, not anything else. How do I ween off the 2 medications above and for how long? thanks

Hi,
Weaning requires determination and you need to prepare yourself for few sleepless nights.
Before attempting, check whether your decision is negating the indication you have for those drugs, the reason why you have been kept on those drugs. proceed only when you are sure, as weaning is best done by your doctor.
However, as you asked:
First reduce imipramine to 5mg and use it for 2 weeks and then stop it.
Then use half the dose of lorazepam for 2 weeks and then 1/4th of it for another 2 weeks, and then stop it.
hope this helps.
