How Do I Get Rid Of The Smell From My Fractured Finger That Has To Be Soaked Everyday?

Hi so I basically shattered the tip my finger (it was an open fracture) 3 and a half weeks weeks ago and I was instructed to soak it and change the bandage daily. I finished the antibiotic when I was supposed to but my finger smells its a recent issue, like 4(?) days probobly just from being in the splint but I can t find any advice on how to get rid of the smell. The nurse hotline at the doters office offered no help except just make sure you are soaking it Help?

Hi
There may be two reasons for the smell one is due to excessive perspiration and the other is due to pus discharge.
If it is due to perspiration remove your slab and wear an open splint and if it is due to pus discharge consult your doc to see your finger.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
