Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
female,28 years old, 5.4 ft ,y blood group is A positive and my husband's is B+, is there any effect on the baby i am going to deliver? secondly ,i have heard that in some sort of blood groups of parents, the baby is immediately vaccinated after the birth, what are those groups and what is the risk?
Hi, thanks for asking. There will be no effect of your blood group on the baby you will deliver. There are no type of blood groups in which baby has to be vaccinated after birth. When the mother's blood group is negative then she is given anti D immediately after delivery not the baby. This prevents the jaundice in the future babies. I hope I have helped you. Thank you.
