How Does Clovis And Placentrex Helps When Having Non Secretarial Endometrium?
Hi doctor I m nishtha . I have PCOD and hypothyroid. I m married from past 3yrs. I had a stillborn baby at 38weeks in march2012. My doctor suggested a endometrial biopsy recently .wherein it came out that my endometrium is non secretarial. I have been suggested Clovis and 10 placentrax injections. I want to know how is this going to work ,also if placentrax has any side effects.
These medicines help you to get pregnant. Non secretory endometrium refers to a phase of the menstrual cycle before ovulation. The endometrium becomes secretory after ovulation under the influence of progesterone. There are two phases of the endometrium. The first phase is under the influence of estrogen and the second phase is under progesterone, if ovulation occurs the endometrium becomes secretory phase.
Based on the report your endometrium is non secretarial which means second phase (ovulation) is absent. Clomid (rather than clovis) is prescribed to induce ovulation (release of egg / eggs from the ovary) which will help in conceiving. Injection placentrex acts by dissolving the adhesions or adnexal masses in the fallopian tube and hence commonly prescribed to treat infertility associated with pelvic inflammatory disease. It also helps in conceiving so continue taking it as prescribed
