How Does The Kidney Works?
What is the path traveled from the distal ileum through the mucosal membrane and into the superior mesenteric vein to get the the left kidney and what major body structures will be passed by? Is there any further digestion process at this point? What is the process that happens in the kidneys to end as urine being excreted?

Whatever food and liquids which are absorbed in the gut finally reach the blood circulation. Blood when travels through the renal arteries into the kidney gets filtered by numerous filter like structure knows GLOMERULI. The fluid which comes on the other side of the filter contains lot of waste products such as urea. This is the final urine which is collocted in the urinary bladder and is removed by the act of micturition.
