Hi there Dr Nishanth Rathi.
Yes FUE is safe.
Results are variable & depend on a case to case basis as am sure you will appreciate the grades of
baldness & the density of the donor area will vary for different individuals.
Yes the transplanted hair can fall post surgery but will regrow in 3-6 months time. Yes the effects that last will be permanent. I always tell my patients' that you must be prepared to have some 60% satisfaction & there will always be some 20-30% loss. So if you implant some 1200 follicles, be prepared in the worst case scenario to lose some 200.
PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections are at best
adjuvant therapy or add on to a
hair transplant procedure before & after.
I know you asked about FUE..but believe me FUT is an equally good if not better procedure & the scar it leaves behind (minimal) may be par for the benefits of vastly more follicles that can be implanted at a single sitting. Agreed 2-3 may be implanted at a time but in total one can even do 3000 odd grafts in the same time it takes to implant the 1200 in FUE technique.
The losses & wastage may be more but so too the benefits & the
scars nowadays are negligible & in any case in the occipital region that rarely goes bald in
androgenic alopecia unless one decides to shave & then it mimics the regular grooves that one will find with aeging.
I do both these procedures at competitive rates definitely more conservative than the average market quotes with my team in Bangalore & you are most welcome to call on me at Vikram Hospital or Sita Bhateja for a consult if in my neck of the woods.
Good Luck & wish you great success with any procedure or centre you chose to go with! Cheers!
