How Effective Is Augmentin For The Sinus?
Hi there. I had conjunctivits a week ago, was dx w/sinus infx two days ago, and tonight I am experiencing pretty awful cough and large amounts of phlegm coming up. I work in a pediatric ER (med student) so I catch colds and get over them usually pretty easily. However, I'm asthmatic and am a little concerned for pneumonia. I'm using my proAir twice daily and advair along with veramyst for nasal congestion. My pcp gave me augmentin for the sinus infx. Any thoughts? I expected to be feeling better, not worse.

Augmentin is an antibiotic.It is one of the best medications available for the treatement of upper respiratory infections including sinus infection.You may take Augment for one week twice daily along with Tab.Sinarest trice daily after food.It is available over the counter.This should give adequate relief.
