How Effective Is Calcium Therapy For Broken Bones?
I am a 77 year old lady who has broken many bones mainly by falling, about 15 bones. I now have metal holding my right elbow together, titanium, ball in my right shoulder, broken both wrists twice, my doctor has recommended calcium theraphy, but the side effects seem scary, is there something else I should try fi?thank you forrst and what is your opinion of this kind of theraphy? I have never heard of this before, is it experimental?
Forsteo has less side effect than prolia .So forsteo will be better for osteoporosis and you can start consulting your doctor.
Check your bone strength with DEXA SCAN and you can start medication according to level of osteoporosis, You need to start supplement of calcium with vitamin D, vit B12, I will advise you to do regular physiotherapy and exercises as my patients find much relief by these therapies.
You need to take diet rich in calcium and vitamin D.
