How Effective Is Tylenol?
Took our baby to ER thurs night 10 pm he was having fever and pain was told had ear infection was given drops and antibiotic has been running temp of 102 and fits of acreaming in pain is ok for a lil while untill med wears off. Given him tylenol ever 4 hours. Its mon morning now is this normal or should he have been better by now? He will be ok dor a lil while with medicine

Tylenol is the most commonly prescribed medicine for fever and pain in kids as it is one of the safest medication.
But, you need to understand one fact that there is no medication that is free from side effects and hence as such, Tylenol also affects the liver of little ones especially in higher dosages or longer duration of time.
Never give your child more than 5 doses in 24 hours. As the age of the kid is not mentioned here and strength of the Tylenol, I can’t tell you the exact dosage but you can refer to the leaflet for maximum recommended dosage for age and weight.
As the diagnosis of ear infection has already been established, I suggest you give an appropriate course of antibiotics as Tylenol cannot cure the infection.
Also, already there has a lot of time lapsed and there is no use of waiting any longer.
Along with that, I suggest you give the kid Liv 52 to detoxify it from any bad effects of the medication.
