How Is Broken Tooth Enamel Repaired ?

Yes you are right that enamel wont grow at all.
but there are number of ways to repair it.
1 if it is a very minute chip off, reshaping of tooth might help you.
2 if it is small chip off, it can be repair with composite restoration.
3 if it is a big lesion, you can go for crown or laminates of that particular tooth.

some times it look like that only enamel has broken but dentine is also involved. so, my advice is to visit your dentist and as per diagnosis go for proper and advised treatment.

hi , yes broken enamel can be repaired esthetically, the procedure for this reconstruction is conservative dentistry, the perfect math color restoration for broken enamel is composite restoration. if the composite is not working good then the last and final option is crowning . regards.

you told that your enamel is broken. first of all i want to make you clear that there are main 3 layers in tooth. upper most enamel, then dentin and then pulp. your dentist can specifically tell that whether you have broken your enamel or dentin. if its just the enamel and it is small , it can be corrected by either rounding up the particular area with machines or filling up the broken area with flling material. you did not told which tooth is broken, front or back.
if its back tooth then silver filling, tooth colored filling can be done. if its front tooth then small break can be corrected by tooth color filling . if tooth is broken more and your history tell traumatic breakage then an x-ray has to be taken and any infection has to elicited . if infection is there then tooth has to undergo RCT i.e root canal treatment.Tooth will be then covered by cap/crown of the same color as other teeth and fill replace the same size and form as earlier.

yeah it will not go break. but dont worry. it can be repaired with help of composite build up if the break is limited to just enamel. if its deep and involving pulp, then you have to get yourself rct treated and a crown. but if its just enamel, then just composite.

but it can be repaired,so do not get worried............
you said only enamel has gone,but dentin can also be along with........
but nothing to get worried,there are so many ways to repair this problem according to the diagnosis like reshaping the tooth,composite build up,crown etc............
so for this please go to your dentist............
after complete examination,your dentist will tell you each and everything accordingly........
so please follow his instructions properly ..............
and take a proper treatment.........
