hello patient,
kindly mention the duration of the gingivitis and sores/ulcers. my advice for you is to clean the gum pads of your baby with a clean gauze pad soaked in luke warm saline water and maintain the oral hygiene. kindly see a dentist ASAP for further investigations.
Hello,
A 1 yr child with gingivitis n swollen gums is rare.. So I would like you to kindly go to your local Dentist or Pedodontist and get it checked.
Sometimes because the teeth are trying to come out, there can be an abscess formed and so there could be bleeding n gingivitis..
Also clean your kids teeth regularly with warm saline and gauze and maintain his hygiene..
Thanks and regards
hi
its extremely rare to have gingivitis in one year old child. its just that as this is the age of eruption of milk teeth, so its eruption gingivitis or in simple terms, gums are just swollen because of erupting teeth. so no need to worry. but do take care of his oral hygiene, as you have mentioned bad breath and ulcers. clean his mouth after he eats anything with a gauze piece soaked wet in warm saline water. also use Teething gel and apply on his gum pads, it will ease off the pain due to erupting teeth and also help in checking infection around swlloen gums.
wishing your child good health
with best regards

hi derazee,
as you told your son is 1 year old,it is rare to have gingivitis at this age........
you did not tell that whether you went to a dentist or not.......
who told you that it is gingivitis...............
it may be due to eruption of milk teeth.......
so i will suggest you to go to a dentist and go for full mouth examination.........
and follow all the instructions given................
nothing to get worried .........
