How Long Ferrous Fumarate Be Taken To Increase The HB Percentage?
hi i am a 23 year old female i was given mefenamic acid tablets to take during my period. i had further test which my doctor said my iron was 3.5 where it should be 40 i have been given ferrous fumarate tablets and told to take one three times a day. is this okay and how long will i take them i have one month supply. will my iron be normal after this or will it drop?

I am sorry to hear that you have anemia and taking iron supplements for that anemia. Your doctor has given you iron to be taken 3 times a day. The amount of iron your body absorbs will take several months to replace. I recommend that you have regular blood counts to monitor the replacement of your iron stores and your blood counts. You should be able to replace your counts.
