How Long After Decreased HCG Levels Will It Start Bleeding?
Hi, I just had a miscarriage and I was wondering how long until then would I see clotting, I haven t seen any clots coming out and I haven t been spotting but my HCG levels are decreasing which is how my gynecologist was able to tell I was miscarrying.
According to my knowledge, bleeding usually starts after 2 days, but it actually depends on the number of weeks you are pregnant. What I mean is that if it was a very early pregnancy like less than 5 weeks, there might be little to no bleeding. I would advise you to wait it out and get an ultrasound done after a week to make sure no contents the pregnancy were left behind.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Hiba Tehrim, General & Family Physician
