How Long Can Metformin Be Taken?

Goodmorning! I have PCO syndrom and have been treated for about 6 months with Yasmin pills and half of Metformin every day after lunch. The last time I visited my MD he told me to stop taking Yasmin and continue with metformin half and to visit him 6 months later. Now I will be on vacation for about 7 months and Ive got a question, how long should I continue taking metformin? How will my treatment be continued after 6 months? Thanks doctor, All the best,

You need to take metformine for PCOS as far as you are overweight or have insulin resistance, there us no limit for it.
