How Long Can You Live With Pulmonary Embolism?

How long can you live with pulmonary embolism? I over exerted myself without even trying and had some of the symptoms of this. Increased heart rate, wheezing, pain when breathing, feeling faint, pain in chest and for the past few months I have really bad leg cramps and it feels like my veins are hurting in my arms and legs. I smoke and I am also on the birth control pill.

Pulmonary embolism is an emergency situation and it causes respiratory arrest almost in many of the case.It is lethal in many cases.So its unlikely you have had an embolism.It should ve been a chest infection.Hope you visited your Chest Physician and get treated.

It is needed to know the emergency of evaluating a breathlessness or chest pain.No matter how severe or simple it is , or what might be the cause , when you are breathless or having chest pain , you should visit ER and rule out cardiac event if any.
