Hello, i read your question carefully. Epilepsy is a condition of unknown causes in most cases. Also it can happen because of different factors like brain injury, stroke, malformations, tumors, surgery etc. The seizures, which charachterize epilepsy can be preventable in over 50% of the the cases by the treatment. There are different treatments nowadays, drugs or surgery. In your brother s case, since the EEG registers pathology, i would not recommend to stop the medication. If the patient doesn t have seizures the treatment is considered successful, but this doesn t mean that the treatment should be discontinued. As it concerns to the alternative medicine, i don t have any experience. Based on the pathophysiologic facts i don t think that seizures can be controlled only by practicing yoga.
