Hi , I quit smoking in April 2014. unfortunately I started again late November and have smoked around 10 a day up until yesterday (17th March 2015) I am waiting for a date for a scar reconstruction (basically a tummy tuck) my surgeon wanted me to quit smoking for 6 weeks prior to surgery but I m not sure when the surgery is so could be less than 6 weeks. They are givin me a nicotine test although not sure which one. I m around 5.3 and around 80kg. I can t exercise much as I have a surgical hernia. ive seen a lot of different time scales for cotinine to leave your system. On this information how long would you say it would take. I ve seen the half life ect of cotinine explain but don t understand it properly Many thanks ellie
