How Long Does Marijuana Remain In The System?

My boyfriend took two hits of weed at his friend's party and now wants to get a job. He said he didn't inhale the first time and barely did the second. However, he now has a hair test in a week. What are the odds he will pass it. He had not smoked prior or since.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Marijuana is cannabis and even occasional use results in the drug going into the system. He took two hits of weed and these could show up in screening tests. In most of employment screening programs blood or urine tests are used which come positive till about 2 weeks of drug use. But if they are employing the hair test then there is mild risk that he may come positive. Ask him to take plenty of water and citrus fruits to hasten the metabolism. Advise him to not to take the weed in near future as this may harm his health as well as his chances of employment.
