How Long Does A Patient Suffer From Lung Cancer Before Passing Away ?

hi i m so curious to know. Can i know usually how long does a patient suffers from lung cancer before he passes away. It s because i a friend of mine passed away of lung cancer few days back. He was very normal until omly a month back we got to know that he s having lhe lung cancer. I want to roughly know since how long ago he could have been victim to this killer disease.

Hi
If lung cancer is diagnosed at stage 4 then even after chemotherapy a person is able to live for around 8 months to 1 year.
If found in earlier stages then a patient may live for 2 to 3 years.
If found in stage 4 then the only treatment option is basic supportive care and palliative chemotherapy to improve quality of life and improve overall survival time.
