Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is 15 and has been told he has bone marrow edema. He has had the Scan and blood tests came back ok. He is has had first physio and he has been told no physical activities are allowed. Note from GP to school 3 months no PE. Holiday no breaststroke swimming. Will it get better with physio or is this ongoing for life? will he always have to be aware of pressure to the spine? Trauma wise, we cam only remember that his chair was taken away from him at school and he came home injured but it settled in days. GP says trauma often from athletes/ballet dancers... hes 15 and does not play sport apart from lunch at school break times [well that is not happening now]. Please can you give me some real clarity of his condition. thank you for your time
