How Long Does Bruised Nerve Take To Heal?

My name is Kristyn and I m 24 yrs old. I ve been going through treatments for a work related injury, 4 months ago, to my right forearm that has caused tremendous pain from my fingers to my elbow. Ruling out RSD and getting ready for another EMG, I am concerned it could just be a bruised nerve that is causing all my pain. So my question is.. IF this is just a bruised nerve, how long will it take for the pain to go away? Its been 4 months and the pain has just progressed. Daily activities/responsibilities have become almost impossible to do without extreme pain following. I have been out of work for a little over 2 months and need to get back. I m feeling completely discouraged and just want the pain to go away. If it is just a bruised nerve and no treatments or surgies can fix it, what do I do?

Hi,

Right forearm and fingers do suggest work related overuse. The best way to take care of this would be to relieve pain by medicine, Cortisone or whichever pain relief method works for you followed by strengthening and preparing your bones and muscles for the work related stress and then put you back to work.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
