How Long Does Elevated LDL And Triglycerides Take To Become Normal?
My lipid shows elevated LDL and triglycerides I was taking fibrovaus now rosvvaous F has prescribed . How long will it take for the levels to cone down in addition Iam taking amaryl1 1tab before breakfast 1/2 tab after dinner started excercise in the form of walking for 1/2 hour in the morning and now am strict diet is 90 ml of alcohol is allowed once week(scotch)? Please let me know L
Hello there, I would have liked to know your exact levels of LDL and Triglyceride (TGs) before I can recommend anything. However once when you start therapy for cholesterol you need to be on it for long.Very rarely we ask patients to reduce or stop the medicines. It may take about 3 months times before you can notice changes in your blood levels of cholesterol. Its good to know that you have started making diet changes and exercise in your routine. It will benefit to reduce sugars as well as to some extent on cholesterol. Any type of alcohol is not encouraged, however if you cannot completely leave it then reduce your drink to 30ml. Scotch has one of the higher amounts of alcohol per volume. Continue checking your sugars regularly. Hope this helps. Take care.
