How Long Does It Take For Knee To Heal After A Knee Surgery?

An ultrasound indicated that I have a highly likelihood of popliteal artery entrapment syndrome and have been referred to a vascular surgeon. Will they do any further testing? If a surgery is needed, will I be on crutches? How long does it take for the knee to heal? How many days will they keep me in the hospital?

Hello,

As mentioned in the history that you been diagnosed with a rare condition of popliteal artery entrapment syndrome I think if the symptoms are asking for the surgery then it should be the choice to go with.

The surgery is small and it will help release the muscle and tendons creating pressure over the popliteal artery.

Hospital stay will 2-3 days maximum depending upon your vitals post surgery.

After discharge, you may be advised to undergo physical therapy session for the regaining back the confidence of the limb.

Rest assured, you should do well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
