Hi and welcome to health care magic.
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
It seems that you are having PCOD a common problem where ovulation does not occur and the ova are trapped in the ovaries producing cysts. This is due to some
hormonal imbalances and the cysts again increase the imbalance.
I suggest that you consult a gynecologist and get evaluated for hormonal disturbances so that if any abnormality is detected you may be treated accordingly. OC pills are also used in the management of PCOD and ginette is the preferred pill.
Gynacosid is an
estrogen and usually estrogen is already increased in PCOD, so I am not sure how it will help. OC pills also contain estrogen but hey have a progesterone in addition to estrogen. Most of the side effects of pills are due to estrogen.
I suggest that you may try using tablet
medroxyprogesterone acetate twice daily for 3 days to induce periods. Periods will come within 7 days after stopping the tablet. A hormonal profile must be done on day 2-3 of the periods. Regular exercise,
weight loss, low fat and sugar diet and
meditation and
yoga help to control hormone disturbances.
Pregnancy also helps restore hormonal balance.
Do not worry these are common problems discuss with your doctor and you will be fine.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
