How Long Does It Take To Wean Xanax Off The System Completely?
I have been on xanax for 15 yrs...but the last 7-8 yrs i started abusing them.I finally realised that i had a bad problem.I was takin 3-10 1mg a day....my last refill of 105 lasted me less than 2 weeks I decided instead of finding some I was done and cold turkeyed the xanan.The withdraws was horrible I was to the point to where i couldnt see straight everything was a big blur and i was seeing things the sweats yea it was pretty bad.Today is the best i have felt in a week will things get better each day and how long does it take for it to get totally out of my system?
Xanax withdrawal is very serious and tedious process. You should try withdrawing it under the supervision of your physician. Regarding the time taken to get rid of it, it depends on your own comfort levels. Since you have taken it for long time it is better if you try slow tapering (one year). Morever keep your self in extremely physically healthy condition to avoid adverse impact on body during withdrawal process. And also learn about symptoms which can come during withdrawal like headache, sweating, dizziness, anxiety so on .
