Hi im Female, 23years old and I just started smoking crystal meth. i have been smoking for 15 days straight 3 to 4x a day. I have 3 questions. How long will the meth stay in my blood stream before my body is clear from meth. 2nd Question is will i expirience withdrawal after 15 days of smoking. 3rd question is i was diagnosed with gallstones 4 days ago. How long before i can have my surgery to have my gallbladder removed if i promise to stop Smoking today. Pls help me.
The meth stays in the blood about as long as the symptoms stay. The levels are low after that. It is in hours and varies. You might actually be asking how long is it detectable. And this depends on the method. Blood and saliva are up to maybe one day. Urine is about 5 days. Hair is until it grows long enough to be cut out (months).
yes you will have withdrawal. it will make someone feel very low. The low is not a contradiction to surgery but being high on meth is. So, one could have the surgery a few days after the last smoking. But someone might not feel like it. Depends on a large number of individual factors.
This includes that the idea of "gee, just want to quit" has a very poor rate of success. So getting the surgery will keep one from using meth for the short period after the surgery.
Certainly all the doctors have to be aware of all medicines/drugs/addictions to make the proper decisions. For example, minor abnormalities on an EKG prior to surgery are very common. Mostly they don't have significance BUT in the context of meth use their possibility of actually meaning a potentially fatal problem goes way up.
