How Long Does Peripartum Cardiomyopathy Take To Get Cured?
Good day DR, I gave birth to my son 4 months ago and, after giving birth with around 40 days I was diagnosed with PPCM. However, I was submitted to the CCU and my ejection fraction at that time was 23%. Two weeks later, it improved to 33% and now (after 4 months), it increased to 41%. I am wondering, is this still dangerous? Will I fully recover from PPCM? And Can I get back to my usual work at home?how long would it take to fully recover? Thank you.
* Usually it recovers within a span of around 6-8 months, provided all the necessary precautions and care are being practised.
* However, individual body response matters in each case. Just continue the follow up with your doc and be sure to heal it fastest within soon time period.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
