How Long Does Severe Laryngitis, Congestion In Ears And Nose With Dry Throat Last ?
About two weeks ago I had a dry throat and developed severe laryngitis no votive at all after about two days my throat felt better but I had severe congestion in my ears and nose no fever. Now my ears cleared up as did the chest congestion but my throat became very sore again especially when swallowing. How long can this last?
The recovery from laryngitis depends on the effect of treatment and resolution of infection and also on the development of reflux. In addition the bets treatment is voice rest and taking only warm water and not straining when you speak. You can take a course of antihistamine like levocetrizine and also include pantoprazole as antireflux for a couple of weeks in consultation with your doctor. If this does not help then you must consult an ENT surgeon as soon as possible regards
