How Long Does The Excess Iodine Remain In The Body?
If I have symptoms of too much iodine from a supplement (enlarged thyroid gland, burning tongue and throat) how long until symptoms disappear. I stopped the supplement yesterday and the burning is mostly gone but not the neck swelling and feeling of a lump in my throat.

Taking iodine supplements in large dose without consulting with your doctor is not advised due to the side effects as you're experiencing now.
Usually, it will take up to 2 weeks for the body to clear off the excess iodine and not feeling the side effects.
