How Long It Will Take To Get Recover From Typhoid ?

I WAS DOWN WITH TYPHOID LAST TWO WEEKS.MY DOCTOR SAID IT WAS VERY HIGH AND INFECTION TOO VERY HIGH.HE PERSCRIBE ZINTHROMAX 500 FOR SIX DAYS.THAT WAS ON THE 22ND OF JUNE,AND TILL NOW AM STILL FEELING SICK.DOES IT MEAN I STILL HAVE TYPHOID IN MY SYSTEM?

Welcome to Healthcare magic forum,
Typhoid fever takes time to get cured, did u get ur blood checked for diagnosing typhoid? now ur in recovery stage, dont eat oily and spicy food, hydrate urself by drinking atleast 2-3lts of water a day.
Get repeat widal test.

Hi, Typhoid fever is generally got due to ingestion of contaminated food or water. It is charecterised by cont high grade fever. Fever persists for a prolonged duration. Hence take proper rest. Continue your medications , even after your fever subsides for at least 3 to 4 days more. Eat only home cooked food.
If you are not having fever, then you have been cured of typhoid.But Widal tests continue to remain high for about some months.Dont worry it will come back to normal range.
