How Long Should Deriva-CMS Be Used To Treat Recurring Blackheads On The Nose?
I was recommended deriva cms gel when i consulted my dermatologist for treatment of my blackheads (on nose in particular), the condition was termed as Acne Vulgaris . I have not continued my treatment though. Can I keep using Deriva CMS Gel ? How long should be the duration of usage ? My blackheads keep appearing again and again ...
Deriva CMS gel contains Adapelene that is a retinoid and Clindamycin that is an antibiotic. It is an appropriate combination for acne vulgaris or pimples.
However if the pimples are too aggressive then you need to take a course of oral antibiotics also along with the topical application.
So my suggestion is that you can continue using the gel but along with it you can also consult a Skin Specialist and get evaluated and a course of antibiotics like Minocycline can also be advised for healing faster.
Along with it, you can do cool compresses or ice packs over the pimples. Along with it avoid excess of oily foods. Drink plenty of water and eats fresh fruits and green vegetables.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Honey Arora, Dentist
