How Long Should Epilepsy Medicines To Be Taken?

hi doctor,
my wife age 33 got first epileptic attack duringmidnite 2yrs back first time .she is on medication from past 1 1/2 yr till now still how many days she should use that medicines frm past 1yr she is fine,will it repeat again

anti epileptic medications can be tapered off after
3 yrs of seizure free interval. About 70- 80 % cases get good control. Again prognosis and chances of recurrences depends on type of seizures and it's etiology. Get detail evaluation in form of 3T MRI brain with epilepsy protocol and EEG done.
