The main side effects include muscle problems (weakness, pain). I suggest to keep monitoring your lipid profile every 3 months as its use depends on the levels of cholesterol and other blood lipids. I also suggest to monitor blood sugar levels as use of statins is highly associated with increased blood sugar (diabetes). Conducting a healthy lifestyle and diet regimen is crucial in controlling high cholesterol levels and to live healthy. Tenoric contains 2 main blood pressure drugs (atenolol-beta-blocker and chlortalidone -diuretic). You can keep using them until bp is well controlled. The dose can be reduced gradually according to your health condition, bp levels and EKG findings.
