How Long Should One Should Be Off Suboxone Before Going Back To Pain Medication?

how long must you be off suboxone before you can go back on my pain medication. I have been on pain meds for a few years and wanted to get off methadone that my doctor had me on. I have had some of the bad side effects from suboxone and whant to use narco that my Doctor also had me on. what is the safe time frame.

Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Suboxone is a habit forming drug but is a good pain control preparation.
It should be tapered off slowly rather than all of a sudden so to avoid withdrawal adverse effects. After four weeks time it is fine to resume to any other treatment your physician want you to resort to.
