How Long The Medication Should Be Taken Before Hiatal Surgery?

hello, i was diagnosed a month ago having hiatus hernia and i am taking ppi as well for about a month. I can say that I havent got any changes and still continue experiencing the symptoms. How long will it take for me to continue the oral medication before undergoing a surgery.

Hello..There is absolutely no need to take ant proton pump inhibitors or PPI as they have no role to play as far as your problem related to hiatus hernia is concerned . They only decrease the acid secretion and have no role in decreasing the hernia. I strongly recommend you to go for surgery and discontinue your oral medication.
Good Luck !!
