How Long To Continue Pacitane For Stress?
i was suffering from stress so doctor prescribed pacitane .now i am fine yet doctor told me to continue tablets. since past 1 year i am taking these tablets.i gained weight by that .still how many days i have to take this course?& my height is 5 feet & 56 kg weight

Pacitane is anticholinestrase drug and the drug is not used in anxiety or stress. Though it has use in tremors. The drug is commonly used to prevent Extra Pyramidal Side effects due to antipsychotic drugs. As per my opinion you should consult your psychiatrist again for re-evaluation. If you are using this drug for last one year without any antipsychotic drug then as per my opinion there is no use of this drug in stress. Consult your psychiatrist immediately.

I am wondering why it has been prescribed for stress.
It is not helpful in stress so discuss with your doctor about your diagnosis and indication of Pacitane in your illness.
Stress and anxiety ccan be treated with medicine like combination of SSRI and benzodiazapine .
Low dose SSRI like sertraline / escitalopram can help.
so discuss with psychiatrist and get help.
