How Long Will It Take For The Complete Recovery Of The Colles Fracture?

My husband has a colles fracture from January- he has been doing physio since April when The caste was removed. He has tingling in his finger tips and the hand swells from time to time. We are on vacation now and should he have physio now or just rest his hand, also how long Will it take for complete recovery ? He had a travel caste on in February as we had to fly and Wonders if the open end of the cast pressed on his wrist causing nerve damage. He is 68 years Old........ Thankyou

Swelling off and on is usual at this age after colles fracture unless there is redness, itchting, pain or dystrophy symptoms.he may continue fomentation, exercises ,otherwise and shal be relieved in few days.Just ensure he is non diabetic(high blood sugar) or has osteoporosis (confirmed on x ray)
