How Long Will The Vision Problem Following A Heart Catheterization Last?

My husband had a heart catheterization thru the wrist last week. He immediately began seeing double out of his right eye and the pupil would not focus or move. The pupil will now move but he is still seeing double. He is wearing a patch over the right eye, otherwise he cannot manage to see even remotely clear. How long will this last, and what can be done to help this right eye vision problem?
